7th Sense Research and Toyota?

I got an email today supposedly from 7th Sense Research concerning me taking a survey to “Tell Toyota About Your Vehicle Experience”.

From their email:

“Toyota Motor Company, in partnership with 7th Sense Research, an independent marketing research firm, wants to understand more about your vehicle ownership experience. The feedback you provide is extremely valuable and will directly impact future automotive decisions.
Qualified respondents who complete the survey will be given a $10 Amazon gift card.”

“The information being collected is strictly for research purposes. There are no sales involved and your name
or any other personal information that you provide will never be shared with anyone else. 7th Sense follows all of the Council of American Survey Research Organization’s (CASRO) rules and guidelines. The survey will only be available for a limited amount of time, so we appreciate your prompt response.

Please think about your answers as thoroughly as possible. Keep in mind that it won’t be possible to move backwards in the survey to change any answers.

The email sender name is “Toyota Motor North America” but the actual address is “[email protected]”
Or maybe it’s “..qe..”.

I’m suspicious about everything I get via unknown emailers.
Has anyone else gotten this?

looks like a legit consumer research org..how they got your info is anyone's guess..more than likely the dealership where you bought your car sold it to them..

Thanks. Yeah, the research company is legit. But I’m not sure of the sender. Phishers sometimes use real company names in their emails.

I’ve sent an email to the real company to inquire about this survey. Let’s see if they respond.

For the promise of a $10 Amazon gift card, I'd just delete... It's not worth it. Your time is probably worth WAY more than the $10 anyway...

...just my opinion.

From what I could research this was a valid survey to research what features people want in future Toyota vehicles, so I gave it a shot. After about three questions concerning my current car ownership the survey asked when I’m considering to be buying a new vehicle: immediately, in 1-2 years, 2-3 years, etc. Based on my previous buying history and Toyota reliability I selected 10 or more years. At that point the survey gave me the boot, ending the session with a rejection message something like “we’re not interested in people like you”. Ha!

I got something similar via snail mail this week due to my recent Toyota purchase. It was about 10 pages long, very small print — many, many questions. As a reward for my time, they promised to enter me into a cash sweepstakes. I filed it straight into the recycling bin.
