Listen in, this post is to warn all others to stay FAR away from Mr. Gabe Salazar & “SNP Speed Innovations” Based in Lake Havasu AZ
Never before have I ever been compelled to leave a negative review for a company/shop/individual before, but this time it’s well warranted.
So as some of you may know, we are building a 1997 4Runner and turbocharging the 3RZ engine for a goal of 500hp+
Everything regarding the engine building and parts sourcing has gone smoothly considering I am in Vancouver Canada.
Many thanks to everyone that has helped along the way. LCE engineering especially. They have been fantastic, and very reliable.
Next up on the list was the wiring harness. LCE supplied me with a wiring harness adaptor for our Haltech elite 1500 ecu. Which was decided early on, that it would not be the best way to go. LCE and Haltech support suggested a particular individual “Gabe Salazar” to build a custom harness.
Gabe was contacted over the phone and email and agreed that he could take care of this job.
Over the course of the 8months+ Gabe was supplied with countless emails, photos, connectors, and even my original wiring harness, all at my expense and his request.
He requested all the sensor locations, which I provided photos with measurements, he requested terminals, which I supplied, he even asked me to ship my harness to him to use as a template which I did.
Gabes communication after the first few chats started going downhill. Emails started going un answered, phone calls were not answered. Months past. Fast forward to about a month ago, (8-9months since our original contact) I tried phoning Gabe once again. This time it stated this number has been blocked.
Not knowing what to do, and realizing almost a year has past with no effort or progress from Gabe, I called LCE, which went to investigate what happened. I asked LCE to ask Gabe to ship me back all my terminals, adaptor, oem harness, everything at my expense. And to use a traceable service which I will pay for.
Gabe then replied with a one word email:
Check your original tracking number.
Which I did, and it shows a box with a weight of 6oz that was RETURNED back to him. (My orginal harness and other parts weighed over 9lbs)
Gabe stuck my original label on an empty box, and marked it return to sender, which usps refused for lack of payment as it’s an international shipment.
This proves that Gabe has not only wasted our teams time, for almost a year.
He has also STOLEN our OEM wiring harness, our LCE supplied adaptor, and our terminals.
I’m really not sure what is happening in Gabe’s life, but I have never come across an person with less Business morals, less trustworthiness, and less communication skill than Mr. Gabe. Nothing but kind language, friendly chatting, and clear information was shared with Gabe, yet out of nowhere he disappears.
I have documented proof of all accusations, dated emails, USPS tracking history, Phone call records, as well as all the pictures and info sent to Mr. Gabe. If you would like to see/ hear more of the story, feel free to reach out to me through a PM.
Through the minimal contact we have had with Gabe, I really had the feeling he isn’t capable of completing this job to begin with. Which ended up to be true.
With nothing in hand now, I’m starting from scratch, with a Haltech elite universal harness. This is going to add months, and more cost to the already budget less project.
I hope no one else has to go through the same situation we had to.
