'84 22R 4Runner Dies When Braking

Hi everyone,
I put a new carburetor on my 4runner last year and everything was running pretty great. I've been driving it quite a bit this summer and it just started acting up again. Basically, when the engine is cold/warming up, it runs perfectly fine. However, once it warms up and I hold the clutch in while slowing down, the idle drops and the engine dies. I've tried to replicate it in the garage by hitting the brakes hard with it in neutral and I can't quite get it to die (I also didn't try it with the engine fully warm) which I will do tomorrow. I thought initially that it could be a vacuum leak or a loose fuse. I checked the fuses and one seemed a bit loose, so i tightened it back up and hoped that would fix it. Initially it stopped doing it but once it warmed back up it did it again. (I hadn't figured out that it only did it when warm until this point). I'm assuming that its a vacuum leak, brake booster, or something similar. Anyone else ever had this problem and if so, what should I check first?

I don’t know a thing about carbureted cars, but to rule out a vacuum leak in the booster, just disconnect the line at the booster and plug it with a large bolt or something. You can lot test it this way to see if it still tries to stall when you hit the brakes. Don’t go doing this on a public road.
