I'm Pretty new to the site but i was hoping i could get some advice on widening the stance, upping my clearance, and keeping the 4x4 alive. I Have an 1988 4runner 3.0 sr5 i herd later model (like early to mid 90's) trd front ends fit on the old sr5's and i also herd that the t100 rear axle's fit to make the rear end 1/4ton. is there any truth to these rumors I've herd about and is there other options i should look at?

Look into Total chaos for $$$$ stuff and Blazeland for $$ stuff. And toyotafiberglass for well, fiberglass.

All 86-95.5 1st/2nd gen 4runners and 2nd/3rd gen pickups share the same front end, they are all equal.
I think your 4unner is already a 1/4 ton. Adding the T100 rear increases track width to help match the track width of a long travel front.

Start reading! Maybe try finding a prerunner specific forum. Not alot (if any) prerunner guys in the classics forum. Well try to help when we can.

Blazeland is out of South Orange County, California (where it looks like you are from). Check out his stuff at Home Page There has been some favorable write-ups on his stuff at 4wd Toyota Owner Magazine.

What ever you decide, good luck with your project.

Thanks guys

You guys have already given me more direction than I've been able to figure out in the past 3years. this will be a good place to start thanks for the help. i will make sure to use this site to make my 4runner all it can be and all i want it to be. im going to the desert this weekend so hopefully ill get some pics out in Ocotillo Wells so i'm not just some donk with no pic. No offense eighty6

^ Thats what I was thinking. Haha.

Read through this thread. Yes its a puckup, but it shares all the same front end components of your 4runner. This guy does good work.
