88 runner soft top

[Nj 88 4Runner]

I just rattled canned it. Qlso, it made the 70 mile drive home with no issues. Brakes are good, 0 smoke. Gonna do a quick tune up and sa foam on it. Otherwise is good to go, also. Gonna paint the top somfiberglass is protected. The rust wi very minor and the frame is solid.

Seafoam I believe is alright if you put it in the gas tank and run it through the intake, but DO NOT put it in the oil. From what I've read on here, it works too good and loosens any caked on sludge. Thus, the sludge gets sucked into your oil pump screen and stays there, clogging it.

Good for you man! Nice deal on it in my opinion. I'm still on the hunt. Really want a 4cyl 5 speed combo without rust and it's not easy! Or cheap haha

I found a bunch that needed some work. Mainly down south near the shore, one was an 85 and the guy only wanted 2k!

The white one, red interior? Body was really rusted tho. The rust scares me, I'm not a body guy so paying that would be brutal. I've got a lead on one out past Harrisburg that I may jump on. Well see!
