90 engine Swap

Alright a couple months ago I bought a 90 that seemed pretty solid, and then three weeks ago my buddy was driving back from dropping me at the airport and discovered the temp gage didn't work after it blew the head gasket. He tried to fix it and said something more was wrong with it. I haven't looked myself to see yet, but in an attempt to explore my options how easy would the conversion be to a 350 small block out of a Chevy? Any feedback on other options would be greatly appreciated as well, thanks in advance.

There's plenty of info on 350 swaps on the net if you search, it's been done for 20+ years. Advance Adapters and others make conversion kits.

I'm doing a swap in my '92 right now to another 3VZE but this one is remanufactured bored .30 over and over sized cams. That way there's no headache or money of conversion kits or anything and it'll still be putting out 40 more horse and torque. Also I know if you have a little bit of a body lift or a hood scoop you can do a 3.4L swap, bell housing bolts and motor mounts are identical, and I've heard a Ford 5.0 is pretty easy as well. Don't know about any conversion stuff with the engine but I've read it's fairly simple. Good luck!

Parts

Alright I'm pretty new at conversions but I've got buddies who can help me. I just need an idea for what parts in particular I need to look for. I did some more reading and a V8 swap would be a little more in depth than I could realistically afford in the short term so I think I'm gonna look at doin a 4.3 swap, and I need to know what I'm lookin for part wise besides the engine mounts
