Over past few months the auto trans on 90 4runner, about to turn 200k, has been acting up, when I start out it does not want to shift out of 1st but, or it will shift into 2nd and then back into 1st; however, once it warms up the trans works fine. Recently changed the screen but the problem still exist. Intend rechecking trans fluid level, if understand correctly, start the engine and let it warm up, move the shift lever into 1st. then back into park and check the fluid level with the transmission running??? Input appreciated, thanks in advance.
