Haven't been around the forum much lately after I got the ol 4runner running pretty good. Got a couple issues now that have brought me back for advice.
First of all, I have been having to use my 4wd recently to access one of my hunting locations. The 4runner runs fine all the way up on the highway but once I put it in 4wd, it almost immediately starts heating up and running rough. It won't get into the red zone, but it definitely heats up. The coolant level is fine. Any ideas?
Also, I can only drive with my A/C running for maybe 15 minutes before the 4runner starts wanting to idle at 300-500 rpms. It usually idles about 1100. Sometimes when I pull up to a stoplight, it will just die. I can turn the A/C off and it will return to normal after another 15 minutes or so. Any help is appreciated!!
