maybe our rigs will be done around the same time i just had to drop a but load of $$$ to pay to have all my front end work done. i was supposed to have leave this weekend to be able to have time to do the work myself but just found out yesterday that i wasnt getting the time off, so i had to scramble last min to get the work done... so its going to the dealer that my father inlaw works at to get done by him at work -not to happy about it as its costing me probably $1000 in labor alone -cheaper than letting any other dealer do all the work at $2200+/- but still more than i want to pay for stuff i can do myself.

all the IFS and steering is basically getting replaced. the only think im not touching is the upper control arms and upper ball joints, cause im gonna be going to light racing arms in a couple months time oh well its pretty much all lasted a quarter million miles so i cant complain too much

I hate paying for stuff I can do myself.
We should definitely get a trip planned out once both rigs are done. I am hoping to pick up some square tube in the morning to start working on a front driveline.

I got the 3" kit. I like to keep it as low as possible.

Kind of shocked. That is crazy high for a 3" kit. Do you think it will settle a little?

I sure hope it will. I think I am going to put some coil spacers in the rear for the time being to level it out.

Had to play around a bit with it yesterday, I have way more travel but ran out of wood blocks haha.

I'll have to track down some more blocks to get it up in the air as far as I can, I still need to install bumpstops. I need to mark where the extensions need to go.

It'll help get it closer to full bump if you raise the opposite corner too.

Ordered more lift for the rear, I am wanting to keep coils in the rear so I am doing 2" spacers.

So I got some stuff done in the last few days. I go the bumpstops installed, leveled out the rear, and went wheeling (without a front driveline ) haha. Suspension is nice and flexy. Can't wait to get a front locker and driveline in this thing!
Went to browns camp with my buddy in his isuzu pickup, and yes it is an original color!

Here is the pics of my new tires and how it currently sits. Still a little low in the rear but it doesn't really bug me.
I am going to make a removable mudflap setup but for now I just zip-tied them to get Johnny law off my butt for the time being. :biggrin1: Never had a problem before but I am more likely to get bothered with these tires.

Yeah when I get some more money I think I am going to swap to the trail gear leafs in the rear, to keep it all the same. It works for the time being though. I'm more worried about getting a driveline built at the moment.

Hopefully I am picking up a square drive-shaft off Craigslist in the next couple days. I know square isn't the best but it works. Hopefully the guy follows through, you never know with Craigslist people, haha

Update:
Finally got around to doing my gear swap. It was horrible driving with 4.10 gearing and 35s. I yanked my 3rds and brought them to my buddies house. He has a nifty tool he built to hold a 3rd member in a engine stand, makes it really nice to work on them. Hoping to finish them up tomorrow so I can get this thing back together and wheel it.
I am also getting a driveline tomorrow for the front. :thumb:

Well since I am in the middle of re-gearing, I noticed I had some excessive play in my driver side wheel bearing. So I figured I would replace both sides with new inner and outer seals. Talk about a pain to get out. I don't think I have been so frustrated at anything else on my runner. Long story short I took it to one of my fathers friends who is a machinist that works out of his house. He even had a hard time getting these things out. On the bright side, it only cost me a case of beer.

Looks all purdy now.
