It in deed is! I've met all the guys in the business. Travis Pastrana, Ken Block, David Higgins, Dave Mirra, Adam Yeoman, and all the local guys. :madgrin:
If I wasn't into 4wds and hot rods, this is what I'd be doing.

Actually he rarely shows to Oregon trail rally, I think this is the first time in 4 years. Ken block is there almost every year besides this year.

Alright so I am thinking of a different bumper for my rear. I love the marlin one I have, but my buddy is making some lately and I'm kinda liking them. What do you guys think? I'm thinking I might sell my marlin and pay him to make one for me. I would have a few things different such as backup light cutouts, D-ring shackle mounts, and a HI-lift mount.
This is the one he finished today for a 4runner. Rear swing out and jerry can holders.

Looks good. That's really close to what I'm plotting on, except I'm thinking I might use dual swingouts.

we ended up having a bit more then just one interest in common!!:biggrin1:
heres my grocery getter "fern"
I'm selling her now since acquiring my runner…she was a fun build.
she has the dual range 5speed 4wd transmission from the older subaru GL cars when they were really 4x4s.
wheeler and rally car all in one!
love the primitive racing ride..
they supplied my front and rear skids.
paul is a great guy to do business with.
that bumper with the swing out looks sweet!:becky:

i love it! I would love one, with a hitch receiver and some shackles but that would be perfect! what does he charge?

I'm kinda getting the "buddy deal," but normally I think it starts at $450 and goes up from there depending on what features you want on it. Not a bad price at all for good work.
Mine will be built with a receiver and D-ring mounts for sure. There is also some other things that will be different than this pic. The problem is getting with him to build it. It's the busy season at work so I'm slamming out 9-14 hour work days.

The guys at primitive are awesome. I do rally EMS training there. They have a chopped up subi that they built into a rollover simulator.
This is my buddy's subi that we are STI swapping. Rocking the primitive light bar. Soon to be all LED.
