93 in a 94?

I think i might have a 93 engine in a 94 4runner. Doesn't seem unlikely but i just wanted to make sure, any of you guys have the same sort of thing? My vin is 05/94 but my motor has a plastice cover over part of the wiring harness that has a sticker for 93.

More than likely it's just that piece that's left over from 93 production.

You have a mid year '94 with a late '93 engine. Probably because they had more engines than vehicles or people were discovering the downside to a 3vz and ordered 22re's instead. Either way it is more than likely the engine that came with it.

I have always wondered about stuff like that. My rig is a mid 92 but does not have the lights like all the 92-95 have. I have the sealed beams. Always wondered about that although I like mine.
