'93 power antenna modification

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out a way to make my 93's power antenna (goes up/down automatically) work like my 86's so that I can control when it goes up/down with a switch.

I tried various toggle switches and different wiring setups and I couldn't get the result I wanted.

Has anyone tried this or have any ideas for making it work?

H'mmm, my first reply didn't take ?? I'll try again.

You'd have to do some rewiring inside the motor housing.
I did the opposite on an aftermarket unit to make it controlled by the switch on my 84. Broke it 15 min later pulling out of the garage. Seems the new one was taller than the stock mast. Snapped right off.
