'93 Running Rough

Hello all I got a '93 that's running rough and can barely get power unless its warmed up and in 1st gear. I've replaced the fuel pump and the air flow monitor so far but wondering what else I can do to get full power.

This is being sold as a hunting buggy once I get it running so no worries on emissions or being road legal.

Any help will be a BIG help!!! :biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:

Well....start with a full tuneup. Plugs,wires,rotor cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, etc

You might check the fuel pressure regulator. I always replace them when doing pumps. Ethanol or the new fuel pressure will usually cook those small delicate rubber diaphragm leading to flooding the combustion chamber. It's also worth replacing the fuel filter. This way, you should have proper "rest" and running fuel pressures.

Replace the exhaust and O2 sensor. Clogged cats and bad O2 sensors can steal a ton of power.

Is there anyway to test the cat converter before replacing? Maybe disconnect it in the front?

if its becoming a hunting rig, just cut the cat out. no need for it
