'93 v6 help

Hey y’all
I have a noticed my engine was missing when I first crank it up. But because Im a poor college student I put it off for a bit. Well one mornin I cranked it up and a ton of whiteish smoke poured out of the exhaust. I got out to smell if it was burning oil but it smelled fairly normal… like gas. The smoke lasted only for a few seconds then stopped. The next mornin I started it and I heard a bang and smoke came from under the hood. Opened the hood to find the back left plug popped outa its place. Looked at the threads on the plug and felt where it came from and it all seemed ok. Got a new plug and replaced it. Still misses and every now and then pours out lots of smoke. Drove it to work for a week and when I had time I looked at each plug. All looked fine but that back left one looked like it was still new… no sign of combustion. I checked the spark and it was getting juice so I know its not the plug or wire. I was wondering if it was a bad fuel injector just pumpin tons of fuel in that cyl. Im not the greatest mechanic, so I would really appreciate any advice or guidance. Sorry for the freakin essay. Sorry to hear the problems.. The biggest issue with the 3vze engine is headgasket failure. If you're pumping out white smoke, most likely that is the case. The headgasket keeps the coolant and oil separate. Check the oil for coolant and check the coolant for oil. Also pull out a spark plug and see if theres any coolant down there if you can. I wouldn't drive it until you get it fixed.

Yep. You have a headgasket failure, and I hate to say it; you toasted your engine.

That miss was your dead cylinder, usually the 6th one. As you continued to drive, and continued to heat up the entire engine except for the dead cylinder you continued to warp the heck out of your engine.

That white smoke means you have a ton of coolant in your engine... coolant destroys the engine and destroys the oil's ability to lubricate.

I really, really hate to say this... because I have been there as a poor college kid; but that engine is done. It either needs a complete rebuild or a new engine.

Neither is cheap. If you can't afford a new engine, understand you will be able to drive it around for awhile. But.. it is a zombie engine and at some point it will simply stop.

Well that freakin sucks!! I did do some research and as much as I hate it I do agree that the symptoms point to a headgasket failure. Man this suckd! Well Thank y'all for your help and all, I really appreciate it. At least I have somethin to go off of now.

I was in the same situation with my 88 t4r, I didn't see it worth the hassle and parted mine out. You can get bank for it by parting it out.
