94 runner couple of little issues

so i have noticed that my rear window on my 94 sr5 will roll up and down with the switch but will only roll down with the key. is this common? maybe just corrosion on a contact or loose wire? also when i turn to full lock i get an awful clunking/clanking noise when moving. i have heard of this problem a lot but what is the best way to permanantly fix this problem? any help would be appreciated as i feel like a JA when im in a parking lot and people are staring at me because my truck sounds like its going to fall apart

I don't know about the clanky clunk but my '99's rear window is the same; rolls down with the fob button but not up. My key won't turn, though. Something inside, I'm told. Also, there's a post somewhere on here where a smart Canadian fixed his to roll down AND up with the fob button. Pretty cool.

I've got the same truck, it makes the same noise when locked left or right, it's pretty common with older vehicles, I had a 95 pathfinder that did the same thing. Just try not to lock it out.

thanks for the replies guys. i did see the key fob window thing which is really cool but i dont have keyless entry so until i get my alarm i cant do that and i saw somewhere that someone said to start the car turn to full lock and shut it off and see where it is hitting and grease that spot but im almost thinking i might be able to do that but maybe attach a thick rubber strip with some self tappers or something. i will take a closer look when i get back in town
