94 t4r rear window issues

ok so i bought a 4runner, the rear window worked the day i bought it. ok so the window doesn't roll up and down from inside or with the key in the rear, the window wiper also only goes about a 1/4 of the way across the window, but the defrost works. what can i do or but to fix it, is there a simple reset i can do???? any help would be great.

No reset. Those windows are not that complicated. It could be a power issue or the actual window motor. One of the reasons toyota moved away from the "truck" down rear door was it was pretty harsh on it. I had 2 2nd gen's and neither window worked 100 percent. I think the jarring motion of the UP/DOWN without any shocks just jars it all to hell.

In going to the standard shocks, up door in the 3rd and 4th gen; they appear to last longer.

Anyway. You can actually pull the carpeted inner frame in about 2 seconds on your back tailgate. My window track rusted out and I had to do this to get the window down. Pull it off and see what is up.
