94 toyota 4runner my dome light wont work

The dome light on my 4runner wont work anyone know what i could do to fix it?

What have you done to troubleshoot it? First, check that you have a good bulb. Next, make sure that the bayonet style bulb is fitting tight into the clips. You might need to bend the clips a bit to tighten it up. If that fails, it's time to get out the multimeter and check for voltage at the bulb, while cycling the switch through its various positions. No voltage - start checking fuses.

Just so you know, my switch contacts are worn out in mine, it only works with a gum wrapper folded up and wedged behind the switch lever......

I fixed it already it turns out that it had roof damage like the previous owner drove it under a tree and caved the roof in and while banging the damage out he accidently hit the wires leading to the dome light which damaged them and grounded both of them causing them to burn any fuse put in their . Lol i swear man some people are sloppy . Thank you guys for taking the time to respond viva la 4runner!!
