Just bouoght this 4 runner in december. Started hesitating occasionally. Sometimes bad. Noticed it only happens when I turn on the headlights, heater fan or electric windows. Someone told me it might be a ground wire. Anyone can direct me in the right direction would be appreciated!

check the alternator ground, but it sounds kinda like a short somewhere to me

There are usually 3 ground wires, battery negative to the body, body to engine (usually at the firewall to rear of engine), and engine to frame (location varies, probably somewhere below battery location).
Make sure they are all clean and tight.
Also make sure the positive cables from battery to alt are good.
