'95 4runner problem - NO POWER

Hi, I've been reading the forums for this problem, but every solution I've found doesn't seem to work.

I recently bought a 95 4runner 2wd. The car has 250k miles on it but the engine only has about 80k. I've been running into some problems regarding over power of the engine when its in gear. I'll floor it and still it will take me half a minute to reach 40mph. Anything between coasting and flooring it, its like im not even pressing the gas, its like it doesn't register until i floor it.

Here's what I've done so far:

-Checked the EGR - used a vacuum, diaphram is working (it stalls the engine)

-Replaced the timing belt

-Replaced the water pump

-Removed the exhaust pipe from the flange - the cat is clear

-Replaced the fuel filter

-Did a throttle body service

And I do know that my fuel injectors are working. I've also removed the MAF and the TPS to try to isolate it, no luck there. I've also tried checking the CEL but with no luck, tried to use a jumper on the diagnostic box and tried to use an OBD1 scanner, both could not pull the code.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the compression? I would start there.

How are your plugs/wires/cap and rotor?

Timing is set correct? You can get a little ump of power by advancing to 13-14ish.

Compression is the one thing I haven't checked. I did recently do a tune up, the plugs, wires, cap and rotor are all fine, all fully plugged in too.
Pretty sure the timing is on too, ill try advancing it
