95 questions

Hi, I am looking for some hop ups for my 95. I already have a flowmaster forty series muffler, but I want a diiferent muffler that will make it louder and crack more. Any suggestions? Don't care what it looks like, it is hidden.

Also, what about air intakes. The only one I can find is the K&N filter. Is there any other air intakes (cold or normal) for a 95 4runner 3.0L?

Oh ya, I am also thinking of lowering it a little like 3 in. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks

I've never really been a fan of Ractive mufflers.. As for that, I don't know.. I'm still doing my research on that as far as what I like sounds best.. What I still actually prefer is a performance exhaust that is pretty close to stock, if not as quiet as stock..

If you don't like the way your flowmaster sounds, then I'd ask other people that have performance mufflers for sound clips and such so that you could know if you like what you hear.

Another thing, if you want it to be louder, does your exhaust system still have the stock resonator? You may want to try the option of removing that first and see if you like it then.. just an option you may want to look into..

As for intakes, I'm not sure if they make a cold air.. All I've seen for 4Runners thus far are short ram.. So they may, as I haven't really done any research on it as I'm not really looking at swapping my intake..

As for the lowering, I've never really liked the look of lowered SUVs.. I never really saw the purpose of it. Not the reason I bought a truck, but thats my opinion..
 
Thanks. I am just looking for a muffler that is louder and more mean sounding and some more crack. So I was thinking that getting one of those Honda style ricer mufflers would be better than my 40 series. I will probably put it right after the cat so no one can see it.

It was just an idea of lowering it. I've decided to clean it up by taking the roof rack off, along with the mudflaps, running pipes, and back windshield wiper and cover.

I've found alot for the 96 3.4L. Would that work if I tried to put that on? I want to find a nice, polished, long, air intake, instead of the drop in one that I have.
 
when i had my bronco, i chopped everything from the cat back off and put on a straight pipe, that sounded pretty darn beast. I am sad to inform that my bronco died 2 months later(i rolled it; not b/c of the exhaust) How does Gibson sound? ive never heard it
 
It's not necissarily that I want to put a ricer muffler on it, I just want to get something that will make it louder. And does anyone know about the air intake?
 
What about a lift? How much would it cost to lift my 95 like 4-6 inches? What size tires and rims would look best if I raised it this much?

And does anyone know about the air intake?
