I blew a head gasket Weds. on my 97 4runner at 271k miles . I am thinking of replacing the motor with a 01 4runner 3.4 I found that has 124K miles. My concerns are the electrical harness plug connections, computor,flywheel, etc. My hope is that I can change out the engine to the 01 3.4 without many or any issues. My 97 is a SR5, auto trans, 4x4 model, the 01 engine is also a SR5,auto trans, 4x4. I will replace the head gaskets if this is not advisable. I am new to this forum and appreciate any help.
