I have misfire on cylinder 2, according to the parts store scanner. I may drive it a few miles to town, and then it starts the miss on the way back. I drove it to the parts store with the miss, and it ran fine all the way back? I have changed the fuel filter, and spark plugs. The old plugs looked bad, but still has the miss. Going to change plug wires, and try moving a coil pack to see if the miss moves with it/code changes tomorrow.
It was due for the tune-up, but since it didn't make any difference in the miss, I'm wondering what else I may be looking at, and how to check for it. I've read many of the threads from the top Toyota forums, and have also seen fuel injector and crankshaft pulley timing sensor thingy mentioned? I had the timing belt and water pump changed about 6 months ago.
Am I on the right track? Is there something I'm missing, besides # 2 cylinder? :drum:
