97 4runner Interchangeable parts with Tacoma?

Hey guys, So I have a question for yas.

I am considering getting a toyota pickup. At the moment I have a 97 sr5 and the frame is getting a little too rough on it. So I was just going to soon use it for parts.

So my question is this, is there a certain year that I should look out for in a toyota pickup that would have a fair amount of interchangeable parts? Or is it even worth it to bother?

The frames are different.
The Rear axles are different, depending on if you have an E-locker or not.
The rear suspension is different.
The front suspension is basically the same.
The hubs can be swapped out, shocks, ect.
The engines are the same, depending on what one you have (ie 2.4=2.4, 2.7=2.7, 3.4=3.4)
Same with transmissions. People have taken Tacoma transmissions and put them in 4Runners no problem; again, depending on what one you have.

If you're wanting to do this, you can. Just don't expect to do a body swap or a frame swap.
