97 Limited Tire Choice?

Hey all, just looking for advice on what to get when it comes to size of my tires for an limited 97 automatic 4Runner. I currently have 265/70/16 on and there just to small for my liking. After research its apparent I cant get much bigger (mainly for off-roading) and I want to get a body lift. So My question is what body kit should I get 1,2,3inch and what size tires should fit with said body kit? I don't want to go to crazy just something enough to get the job done and stand out in the crowd.

If you aren't gonna get a suspension lift, only a body lift, 265/75/16s are gonna be the best size, slightly bigger then your 265/70s but won't rub. Try an all terrain tire for a more aggressive look as well.

I've got 265/75 16 on my stock 97 limited. They fit fine and look a bit better than the stocks.

I went went with Firestone Destination LT's. Great tire. I didn't go body lift (881/890 OME with LT275 70 17's) but I've seen some pretty nice Runners with 265's. If you are set on just a body lift, unless you've seen some good examples, do the lift first then see where you stand.
