That's nice and all but tight switches are not worth paying $25k for a 3rd gen.
 
This makes me want to sink more money in fixing mine up. Just bought an undercarriage pressure washer attachment to rinse before fluid filming.

I'm definitely going to take pictures of the rust before I send it to a body shop (windshield, and door sills where a seatbelt and door made love to the paint, and the chrome bumper.
Prices like this also make it more necessary to get timing belt changed at a shop for the invoice.. or would people of T4R/BAT not care whether DIY (with amazon receipts) or at a shop with invoice?

I think the price of many parts will drop as 3d printing gets more efficient and cheaper. Think, there will be a point where a place can sell replacement parts for vehicles without the need of a giant warehouse space. Just a giant database of part specs on a computer, printers and then a spot to pack and ship.
 
3rd gens

There are 2 3rd gens running now. If your looking for near perfect one with basically all the services done and a mint interior the Jade Mica one is beautiful . That should break 12k easily. No frame shots, but its been in CA since 01 and I am sure they will be asked to add them. Doing some East Coast dreamin' on that one.

10-12 yrs ago remember hearing that 3rd Gens would be selling for what 80 series LC's were going for at that time used same milage, though the LC's I think were priced higher cause they weren't as old, looks as it's coming true.
 
That desert dune one definitely has / had some rust issues starting. Not sure what to make of "a recent dealer service included applying rust protector to the underbody.". Would you trust it? Rust paint has to be prepped properly, I wonder if they did it right. Considering the time pressures dealerships have, probably not. If not then they just made the problem 10x more difficult to address.
 
[MENTION=146628]Mark_BC[/MENTION], I saw that too. The 99 IJM looks pretty good, would never pay the BAT premium for a runner or taco though.
I get in trouble looking on BAT cause of the newer Porsche 911's, Ferrari 360 Modena or Spider, Aston Martin DB series cars I've always wanted.

Pretty much the whole west coast too. I think it has to do the the lifestyle, access to public land, and that cars out here are generally rust free so have that much more chance of lasting.

This guy in Portland has a couple lightly built 3rd gens in stock at all times, asking for want you might call... Premium prices
