mods, please move this thread to the appropriate place: the joke thread:D

all kidding aside, there is no comparison. having owned a blazer i can tell you it will cost you lots of money in ball joints, pitman arms, idler arms, and wheel bearings. the front ifs is sprung on torsion bars, so it rides nice. the rear leaf suspension is archaic! the seat levers will break, if they have not already, because they are made of cheap white metal. the radio lights will burn out, and the vortec will develop piston slap sooner or later, the lines running to the oil filter will leak... i'll stop there.

:iagree:about the Blazer. I owned an '89(first year for the 4.3 and non vortec) but in 100K miles I went through 2 sets of the flexible oil lines to and from the oil cooler in the plastic radiator which also broke 2 times. Went through 5 clutch fans and at the end was sitting in a hole in the front seat. Mine had the digital dash which blew it's inverter power supply twice and would have cost a pretty penny to repair/replace if I had not hunted them down in a bone yard and done it myself. A bird noise somewhere in the tailgate used to make me want to push it over a cliff, and when I sold it it was still chirpin' despite every effort to fix it. Also had problems passing smog tests, which turned out to be worn injectors in the throttle body injection system. There are 2 of them and they are expensive!

The 3.0 V6 is only rated for 150HP, I forget the torque rating. I had a 1990 Toyota truck with that engine.
