'97 T4R-Worth?

So I am considering selling my '97 4Runner V6 Limited 2WD. Wanted to ask for opinions on what it is worth. Has 280K miles, leather seats, rook rack, tow package, dual power seats, moon roof and the rest of the standard limited options. Runs well (my everyday driver), but noticed it is leaking oil. My mechanic (w/out inspecting it) suggested I may need engine rebuilt. With this amount of mileage, I suspect he is right. Also needs the 90k service w/ timing belt (last done at 190k). Paint is good, some clear coat peeling on front of hood and left fender (which isn't noticeable since it is white).

I'm trying to decide if it is worth it to fix, sell it or piece it out (which I don't want to do). KBB values it at-
Excellent-$5,115
V good-$4,815
Good-$4,665
Fair-$3,915
Any help would be appreciated! I'm in So Cal.

I would say its worth more to you than someone else with that kind of mileage. I'd fix it. Go for the 300k club!

How the hell do you go from "runs well but leaking oil" to needing an engine rebuild? I'd suggest you find the oil leak (nothing more than a gasket) and fix it.
