'97 T4Runner stalled at a stop light yesterday - thoughts?
I put the truck back in park & started it up again but this also happened to me a few months ago.
I had AAA take it in & they took it in to a shop a few months ago.
They looked at it and gave it back to me and couldn't find anything wrong.

Was the tank almost at the end (reserve limit). It happened to me at a yield and I had reserve on. That's last year and so far I am good. Since then I fill the tank before it goes below 1/4 mark.

Same thing happened with my truck when the EFI relay went bad a few months ago. It would buck occasionally when accelerating hard, and when I came to a stop, it would sometimes die out. Only reason I even suspected the EFI relay was because the same thing happened on my dad's T-100 years ago. Unfortunately, the relay will likely still test OK, but a new one is only about $20, so it's worth a shot. Only get an OEM one from a dealer, in person or online, as the generic Denso ones don't work - when I tried them, my truck ran full rich at idle.
