Hey everyone, let me start off with saying that I'm not new to 3rd gen runners as I've owned an 02 Sport 4x4 for almost 4 years and the truck has been great up until the A340F in it finally gave up at 260k miles.
Since it died I've been entertaining the idea of getting a 5spd runner like I originally wanted when I initially purchased my truck.
I couldn't believe that I found a 98 3.4 5spd 4x4 elocked with the 2nd gen supercharger at 270k miles after only looking for a few short days, after test driving the truck I came to the conclusion that the truck was well cared for mechanically but the owner did report that it would sometimes throw codes, P0325 and P0330 I believe, he said that this had gone away for a while but came back after he removed the 7th injector kit and the smaller pulley....
From what I've gathered the code is related directly to the sensors / harness more so than the actual detection of a knock. The motor ran very smoothly and the supercharger didn't rattle much at all at idle which to me helped confirm indicated the PO had rebuilt it when putting it on the truck about a year ago.
All in all the truck drove very well although the code was not being thrown when I last drove the truck as it still had the 7th injector / smaller pulley on it.
I guess my question is at 5500 bucks is that this seems like a good buy for the money even with replacing the sensors/ harness so should I be weary of the codes or still go for it? :help:
Sorry if this is all over the place as I'm out the door to head to work. If there are any more factors that would help an opinion along just ask.
Thanks in advance 3.4 gurus :heh:
