Hey just checking in. Long time lurker, but figured I would check out what is going on with other 4runners in NORCAL. Looks a bit slow lately, but maybe things will pickup this spring/summer with better weather and more members.
Long Story.....short: been 4 wheelin around Norcal since my teen years in the early 90s. From mild trails to Rubicon/Fordyce. Mostly just wheeled with friends. Got involved with TTORA for a few years around 2001 when it was very active. Had kids and had to take a break the last few years. Mostly just wheeled with my brother and his TJ Rubi on 37s the last few summers.
Past Yotas include: 70 FJ40, 85 Toy truck, 02 Taco TRD, 95 4runner
Last week I just picked up a 98 4Runner Limited with the Rear E-Locker.
Came with 265/75R16 GY Wranglers. Took off the running boards that day. Got a quick run in a Prairie City last week before the big NorCal Rock Races with the Ultra4 rigs last weekend. Did ok for a stock 4runner with just the E-Locker on the hill climbs and frame twisters.
Looking to keep it mellow Mod wise for this summer. Mild Spring Lift, sliders and some 285s in a Mud Terrain. Just enough for some family/club ifscore wheelin and camping.
Future mods in 2014: SAS of course......
