'98 Master Window Switch

My driver window switch broke, after 1 million times up and down. I tried to replace it with one of the switches on the back and ended braking one of them too. :ybrick:

I bought one on ebay, supposed to work on all models 98-02. Looks the same, switch matches perfectly but doesn't work on my '98.

Now I have the OEM switch from a 2001 TOYOTA 4RUNNER LS for sale if someone is interested. I am also looking to buy one for mine if you guys know where to find them of if there is a miracle that could make this compatible...

I will post pics soon to compare switches and for you to meet my ride.

Thanks!

well they are simple rocker switches so you should be able to just find a diagram for teh switch and then clip the wires and mate them up either side provided the switch physically fits in the location... i did this when i used a factory fog switch mated up to my hella lights....

figure out how the switch is wired then figure out how the truck is wired and mate the wires, there shouldn't be more then 5 prongs on the back of the switch, so the trick is to figure out which prong is power, which is ground, and which are through...again most switches are "dumb" they are happy as long as a current is going through them, which might be something to also consider...maybe the wires in the door jamb are pinched...either way get out the multimeter and get to work, lol
