I am a noobie to this site. I just read this thread start to finish today. Beautiful rig. I have a hardcore `86 runner(dual cases, 40's,etc) and recently picked up a `98 runner. I tripped on this site while researching what could be done with these 3rd gens. I am amazed at some of the builds on here. I read yours, Ripcords, COD, and Dirtco's threads so far. A tip of my hat to you guys. I am car nut with way too many of them. lol I know the addiction/passion for vehicles. I recently started dating a beautiful woman who has a `99 2wd runner. She lives in the mountains here is SoCal. After driving hers I knew that a 3gen runner was to be my new DD/mild wheeler. The first time I got in her runner, I was like those are the worst headlights I have ever seen! lol I am not happy with mine either! I will talking with you soon about these projector setups. I like how clean your rig is. Keep it up.

Sorry guys, my build thread is literally not working.....

I see again, that there has been new posts, but my build thread just seems to STOP after that video I posted. I have PM'd the mods but am still trying to resolve the issue. I wanted to edit the post and try removing the video, but the "edit" buttons dont even exist. This is messed. hahaha

Hahah, no no they did not. To be fair though, we havent really got any snow. Im sure once Jan. hits it will be mini-tires straight through until spring.

This isnt related to my build in anyway, shape, or form but being a "obsessive car enthusiast" and always having a thing for Porsche's, I couldn't NOT share this video. This guy is super unique and passionate about what he does. It definitely shows on the pieces of art that he produces. Although I do wish I could do with my Runner what he does with his 911's..... it sure would be cool to own one of every year since 1985. Some day.

Anyways, hope someone who has 30mins. to spend will enjoy this clip as much as I did (and the cinematography is phenomenal!).

Rickashay, the DIV code from that video file absolutely annihilated the rest of the page. I don't know this could have happened, as I thought HTML was disabled. I found a way to fix it if it happens again, too, so don't worry.

Sorry that I had to delete your post, it was the only way to fix the problem.

Go ahead and try the post again. If it doesn't work, you can always just post a link to another page instead of embedding. If you want to embed, I guess the only other option would be switching to YouTube or another video hosting website.

I would actually love to get my hands on a clean 88-89 Porsche 944 Turbo as a play/track car. Even a N/A one would be cool to get and do a LS1 or 1UZ swap on... Oh pipe dreams.

Yes, both front and rear pinch welds have been trimmed. Although I could have gotten away without it I'm sure. My front mudflaps take away about 1/2" of clearance in the front and the rears could have just used proper bump stop spacing and probably wouldn't have rubbed anymore. Rub will also be largely affected by your specific wheel specs and brand/size of tire.

I actually own a 85.5 944 that has been parked for the past 6 years.I bought it from Georgia so theres no rust on it at all.I'm actually planning to swap a aluminum L33 5.3 with a few mods.Should only cost me about 3500$ for the complete swap!
