The tundra had an electronic one and mine does have ADD. I don't mind reusing my j shift, just curious how far back it will move.

I meant where the j shift will be since the engine on the v8 is about 3-4 inches longer, I'm debating because if the j shift gets pushed back I may have to modify that center console

That was at cataloochee valley at the smoky mountains. Nothing too crazy but fun for first time offroad

Nah nothing too crazy but all I get here is beach driving, haha. I'd love to drive through some creeks/rivers. My in-laws live in Boone, I wonder if there are any good spots around there...

They are easy enough to test fit. I prefer the j shift over the push button.

Im with you on that one. I will let you know when Im there haha. Where are you btw? I work in cary at autopark honda and work on the truck at my parents garage in rolesville. I would love to see your truck one day.

I live in Oxford and as of Monday will be working in Raleigh. One of my buddy's co-owns team xtreme in rolesville. I'll be out that way in a few weeks. Probably on a Friday.

As far as your t-case. See on the tundra t case where the rear block off plate is? Will that is where your shifter sits on your 4runner case. With my manual the t case shifter sits right at the rear of the hole in the body. So much so I had to bolt the base to the case before I put the transfer case was bolted up.

Tomorrow I hope to start mocking up for the mounts to get the engine situated. That sounds good, I can PM you my number and maybe you can swing by and check it out if youre interested. I'll constantly be working on it lol

Wellllll it's coming along! Soon there's gonna be two white toyotas with 4.7l in them motor mounts are done, just finished timing belt, going back in with engine trans and transfer case tomorrow!

Here comes the frustrating part....

Still got some things to button up but the wiring is wearing me out lol

Only got 10 wires done today, had some things come up so I will be back at it in a day or two

Update... I have not given up, just been super super busy with work and trying to get a house and few other things.
Trans mount is done, finally have trans and transfer case in.
Just need to button up a few things like routing radiator hoses, putting fuel pump back in, few evap hoses to connect and the dreaded wiring that is giving me headaches. Hope to have pictures soon!!

FINALLY!!! It runs perfect, nice and smooth. The reason it shut off in the video is because the MAF wasn't hooked up. Now to button it up and do some burnouts :lookout:

Only codes are for EVAP which i have not hooked up yet, once I hook up the vapor pressure sensor I will be good to go. Hope to have it driving soon!!!
