99-01s, has anyone ever spliced into the stock fog light wiring for new lights?

The engine doesn't need to be on to turn on the headlights... They auto turn-off when you open the driver's door when the engine is off, but if you just turn the switch off and back on again, they will stay on. This is for '99+ 4Runners.
