99-02 No Stock Fogs Wiring (no new stalk)

Hey guys I have been procrastinating on wiring my fogs since I bought the new Runner and started looking at it today. Since I have an SR5 with manual trans awesomness it didn't come with the fogs, relay and stalk with the switch. It is prewired though for them. I am broke now after my expo trailer lark so I have to keep small things like this as cheap as possible. Therefore I don't want to drop $60+ on a new stalk.

Here is what I am thinking. I will unpin wires 10 and 11 and put a switch on the dash in one of my blanks with them attached. Then all I would need to do is procure a fog relay and pop that in place and I should be good to go.

Thoughts?

Fog relay was not expensive at all. Around 10 bones IIRC I don't see why that wiring idea shouldn't work. Good luck!

Made a quick test jumper and it indeed does work the way I'm thinking.

I just did a test and the red and black wire (3rd one in from the left is the hot cuircit and if you just ground that it works.

Got it cut, spliced, and the new wire routed to my switch blank.

Pay no mind to the crappy butt crimp hack job. I couldn't solder it cause [MENTION=96151]dozerfrelich[/MENTION] beat me to the garage... lol
