99-02 sport hood wont fit

putting on my new hood and finally found out that it wont fit my 97. the hood wont close and its gap on the sides. is it my latch that needs to b e adjusted or what . i been trying to fit it back and forth and its that same prob

If its too high try the rubber stops on the front right and left on the leading edge for the grill area if that isnt the case just diddle around with the mounting brackets a little, it should fit

In my experience, hood alignment is a 2 man job but it should fit.

I found that installing mine there was a little lip on the inside of the bolt that bolts the hood to the hinge.

I had to shave down that lip that fits in the hole on the hinge and slide the hood forward a bit. That fixed my problems. I just have to adjust the passengers side a bit because it's sitting a little high.
