99 4runner-will not start

replaced water pump, new timing belt, set timing with a master mechanic, and checked it three different times. Did not start, ran code scan- maf sensor code came up. Replaced maf , code cleared, and all other codes clear. Will crank but not start, ran fine before the repairs. Extremely frustrated, sitting in the driveway for three months now !

Well, without the vehicle in front of me, anything will just be a guess.

But, I'll guess you have an issue with your crankshaft position reluctor wheel.

Reluctor is keyed, I was told it might be fuel related. Thank you for your feedback.

If it still doesn't start after ruling everything else out, I'd suggest taking another look at the reluctor teeth.

They can be installed correctly, but if they have even seemingly minor damage, the resulting erratic signal received by the ecu can cause a no-start condition, with no codes present.
