99 Coils w/ 5100 Bilsteins

Hey everyone. I just wanted to confirm if this setup will work on my 96 before i go ahead and get them. I have a set of 99 highlanders springs and was thinking about installing them with Bilstein 5100's.

I want to just raise it a little bit and get rid of the rear sag so I'm also considering a 1/2 inch spacer in the rear while raising the spring perches on the front along with the 99 highlander coils.

Will this setup work and does anyone have any pictures if possible. Thanks very much for you help and input.:thanks:

This is my previous 4Runner with that setup. It was a 99 and had a 1 1/2" spacer in the back and Tacoma 5100s on the front set on the 1.25" lift setting. I felt that the ride was too soft with these. On my current 4Runner, I am running Toytec 3" Springs along with Tundra 5100s. I like the Tundra 5100s much better.

Thanks, I was running 265/75 16 Goodyear Authority from Walmart. They are like the cheaper little brother of Duratracs.

Great tire and great price for them.

As for the suspension, you'll probably need more than a 1/2" spacer in the rear. Depending in which perch you set the 5100's on, it will mostly likely be front high.

No, they won't rub. This is the exact tire and size that I had before I put the 285s on.

luckily i also have a pair of rear 1 1/2 inch spacers. and also, the front 5100's, do the spring perches go by 1 inch increments?

The Tundra 5100s have settings for 0", .65", 1.3" and 2.0".

The Tacoma 5100s have settings for 0", 1.25" and 2.5"

finally got them put in... this is with 1 1/2" spacer in the rear along with the eye to stud adapter for the 5125's which looks like it added another 3/4".
