99' headlights

I feel that the headlights on my 97' are pretty darn good, but I keep hearing about people upgrading to 99' headlights. Is there that big of a difference?

well, they will give a little improvement in light output because the 96-98 headlights are frosted on the lens, while the 99-02 are clear glass. light shines through easier. i did this upgrade mostly because it just looks nicer, and needed new headlights anyway... :p:p

Ahhh, that does make sense. Might be something I'll do this year then. Thanks.

When I owned a 97 I did this. I bought a pair of aftermarket ones on ebay. Bad idea! Fit was terrible and not better light out put, in fact it was worse and the light scattered real bad. If you do this make sure you get some OEM housings from a 99.

LOL, well there goes the eBay thing I was going to do. Thanks for the heads up.

get the 99's!

Got mine from Amazon and they fit perfect! The seller is (HEADLIGHTS DEPOT) they are glass too not that cheap plastic aftermarket stuff! It is a real quality product. Only cost $59 for the pair + $13 bucks for shipping. *made my truck look new again or better because I had the faded 98 headlights. It only took like 30 mins max to install them, and they came w/new bulbs also! I can see much better at night now...

I found their website: 1999 Toyota 4Runner Headlights at HeadlightsDepot.com | Top Quality Headlights at Affordable Prices

Can get both sides for $72.50 free shipping, altho that pretty much adds up to your prices, LOL. Thanks for the dealer name.

go for it!

No prob at all. Your truck will thank you for it!

*I had to go through Amazon because I had a gift card, took about 5-7 days to get them to my doorstep. You will probably get em' faster since your ordering directly from the seller.
