99 Limited won't play cd's

Is there an easy fix for the CD player not reading CD's and ejecting them? I'm not sure if this is a normal/fixable problem or if I need to just go with an aftermarket replacement. The radio and antenna work fine.

Probably just easier to find a junkyard OEM radio or just swap in an aftermarket Cd-player. You will get better sound out of an aftermarket CD player. I have had Kenwood, Eclipse, Panasonic, Sony, they are all pretty good.

Storebought CD's or burnt CD's?? Most 1999 vintage CD players weren't designed for burnt CD's and the lasers degrade over time. You might be able to play prerecorded CD's only. The advice above is good--start over, plus you should get a HU with an aux input and you can use it with an mp3 player. I rarely use CD's anymore.

If your talking burned cd's the only ones I've found to play are cd's by memorex

Store bought CD's. Yeah its time to upgrade I think, I was hoping for a quick fix in the mean time.
