'99 Mid-Gen. Upgrades w/Pics

Indeed.. take it from a recent purchaser of a '97, now having swapped in the '99 floor console, roof console, homelink, dash bezel, sun visors, heated rear view mirrors... and now scoping out the back seats with the headrest holders and the RH quarter trim panel with its larger cubby, when will it end?

Then again, I got my '97 for about half of what the '99's were going for, so I got a lot of extra dough in the bank to play with .

Will the RH quarter trip panel fit directly into the 96-99? I reckon it would because of the dimensions...but so many things about these trucks are tucked and hidden I'm hoping to find someone who has done this upgrade before...

I assume you mean will it fit into 96-98, the answer is absolutely yes. But, you will have to slightly trim some metal behind the panel to make room for the larger storage compartment. Also keep in mind that the oak panels for 99+ are a lighter shade than for 96-98, so if you're picky, you might want to get both sides from the 99, as well as the tailgate trim pieces on top and bottom.

Any idea if the rear cargo area paneling from a 99+ with the bigger storage area and rear power outlet will fit into a 96-98? I've been scouring this forum for a thread about it - but so far to no avail.

No the hole is physically larger and the sheetmetal is different. Source: I tried to make it work

Rear cup holders were broken, found a double cup holder that is created by a 3D printer, it doesnt fold back into the center console but it is much more sturdy than the original and I can fit my Yeti and speedway cups in it.

BTW found the cup holder on Ebay for $40 and they have grey or tan colors.

I wish people actually used those headrest holders, both the 3rd gens I've owned have been missing their rear headrests haha.
