They did, you had to get the smokers package though which was a part installed option. Dual outlets were standard in 2009.

2000 to 1997 parts swap
My 2000 frame is rusted so I bought a 97 Limited for $500 from a guy at work. I'm trying to move over as many of the upgraded items as I can. I am wondering if i will be able to move all the wires around enough to put in my 2000 center console. 97 cup-holders are a joke. The security light , ECT switch and rear window switch will all have to move from the parking brake cowl to up above the radio. Also I'm going to try and see if I can supply power to the 2 additional 12 volt outlets. I doubt it.

For a pre-99, a good way to get power to the rear is to tap into the existing front power outlet 12v + wire. The new outlet will use the same fuse and will be controlled by the power outlet relay
Run at least the same size/gauge red insulated wire all the way to the back. Take extra care routing the wire as you would not want it to rub through against the body, it can short out (blown fuse/potential fire hazard).
Connect the new 12v + wire directly to the cut pigtail of the new outlet, either with a butt crimp connector or soldering. See the attached wiring diagram to see which of the two rear outlet wires is for 12V +. Make sure to cover connections with electrical tape and/or heat shrink tubing.
From the other wire on the new outlets pigtail, connect to ground -. There is an existing ground location directly behind the factory rear outlet on 99+ models. You'll find white ground wires from the right tail light harness attached to the body using crimped eye connectors and a 10mm bolt. Add in the new outlet's ground wire with an eye connector.
Enjoy power. Want constant power to the plugs at any time? The power outlet relay in the main fuse box under the hood can be bypassed, all you need is a couple inches of wire and two male spade connectors.

Those look like the 225 size tires, which indicates they are most likely 15's. The 16 inch steelies are identical in appearance to the 15's, but they came with 265 size tires.

xtra space next to the dual power supplys....
maybe adding a power inverter and running the plug so that its right next to the dual power supplys. would be like have a wall outlet right there. would work great for laptops or electronics while camping...

Indeed.. take it from a recent purchaser of a '97, now having swapped in the '99 floor console, roof console, homelink, dash bezel, sun visors, heated rear view mirrors... and now scoping out the back seats with the headrest holders and the RH quarter trim panel with its larger cubby, when will it end?
Then again, I got my '97 for about half of what the '99's were going for, so I got a lot of extra dough in the bank to play with

Any idea if the rear cargo area paneling from a 99+ with the bigger storage area and rear power outlet will fit into a 96-98? I've been scouring this forum for a thread about it - but so far to no avail.
