99 talls in the rear of an '02 w/o spring compressors?

I just got some 99 talls for the rear of my 2002 to cure the sag. :thanks: to members for the advice.
I searched and read about many installs but still have a question. Has anyone put 99 talls in a 01 or 02 without spring compressors? I understand that 01-02 ride the lowest and that the 99s should add 1.5" lift.
I plan to jack it up, put jack stands on the frame, remove wheels, take off (and replace) the shocks, remove the rear sway/trac bar. If I have a helper push up on one side of the axle, will I be able to get the old springs out and put in the 99s on the other side?

I was able to install my 99 coils with a 1.5" rear spacer on top without spring compressors.

Sweet! Thanks for the help guys. I'll post some before and after pics once I finish it this weekend.

No need to take your truck completely apart.

Step 1: Jack up that corner of the truck
Step 2: Remove Shock
Step 3: Jack down axle (using inverted bottle jack in wheel well)
Step 4: Pull out spring
Step 5: Install new spring
Step 6: Remove jack from wheel well
Step 7: Install shock
Step 8: Put that corner back on the ground

Repeat for other side.

Be sure to chock all of the wheels left on the ground and protectively place jack stands so the truck can't fall on you.

You don't even need to take the wheels off...
