Howdy.
I have a good friend, a single mom with three kids, who drives a '99 4runner. Mechanic costs are a strain on her budget, so I'm helping her keep it on the road, dependable and safe for those kids to ride in.
Yesterday this forum was invaluable for info on flushing the transmission, finding the locks and adjusters for the drive belts (3 belts? Interesting design choice), replacing a broken wheel stud, which ATF it takes... all kinds of stuff.
I just wanted to drop off a thanks for all of the great info stored up here. With my tools and your knowledge, this old girl's going to be on the road for a long time. And by that, of course, I mean the car, not the driver.
