Well I have the V6 so I don't know where they put the sight glass on the V8. On the V6 it's just behind the grill , a small box with a black pipe entering one side and exiting on the other. If you can locate this. turn on the A/C with the engine running and look closely at the sight glass looking for bubbles. If you see bubbles it means you are low on refrigerant. Also check your A/C light to see if it flashes when you are not getting cold air. If you see this it's our old friend the compressor clutch relay malfunctioning. Best bet is to take it in for diagnosis and repair, somewhere you trust. Good luck! While sitting in traffic, my truck blows hot and humid air from the vents. When I start moving again, the air starts to get cool. In addition, the air sometimes blows hot and cold while driving. Any ideas what could be wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks in advance!
