A couple paint color questions

Want to do a little cosmetic work on my '99 4Runner

My interior is the tan or brown color, I think Toyota called it oak. The "feet" of my front seats on the outside (nearest the doors) have some rust and I'd like to touch them up. Has anyone found a color that matches the factory paint? Its kind of a caramel color but I didn't find anything at Home Depot the other night that looked really close.

Also, I need to repaint my trailer hitch. What's the best color/paint type to use? I'm guessing they're all the same -- a kind of glossy black. Obviously I want a durable paint that will resist rust. I have a can of Eastwood glossy black chassis paint, so maybe that would work but I wanted to see what others have used.

Thanks! I'm pretty new here but this forum has been a great source of info. My other car is a Pontiac G8 GXP and they have a great online community (even though Pontiac is dead). This's is my first 4WD vehicle so I've been thrilled to find such a great source of info! The buyers guide and DIY posts have already saved me a ton of $$.

By "feet" are you referring to the ends of the seat rails where the seat mounting bolts go through? If so, I've never seen them in any other color but black. It's not uncommon for them to rust a bit. I'd just sand them down, hit them with some self etching primer and paint.

The rails under the seat are black but the feet are brownish. See pic (sorry light isn't better). There were probably plastic covers over them but i don't have those which is why I'd like to paint.

Yup, remove, sand, primer, paint, replace - in that order... yeah my little plastic feet things fall off too and get lost - lol... :banana:

The later models had the legs painted in tan. You would have to test around with colors. I would sand off the rust+paint black and source some bolt covers. The covers won't show the color difference.
