A little help?

So I have a 95 Toyota 4Runner automatic and by the brake pedal there is a leak coming from somewhere and I don't know where but I can tell because it's leaking in the carpet does anybody know what this might be or where I could be coming from?:sobbing:

You most likely have a bad brake master cylinder and a bad brake booster.

Are you talking brake leak or just leak?

If it is water, then it is probably the rubber seal the is around the steering shaft or, like in my case, the previous owner had done a horrid job wiring in a new amp and poked a hole right in the firewall down there. Leaked. I put RTV sealant on it.

Poke around.

Pull the carpet up and see where its coming from. Also check around the master cylinder under the hood for leaks.

What is the brake fluid reservoir status ( is the fluid low )?

sounds like the brake master cylinder is leaking

now if you have a 5 speed. i would make sure because the clutch master cylinder are more prone to leaking than the brake imo

reason for most leaks is due to lack of brake fluid maintains. should be changed out every two years. not sure how it is on toyotas but on hondas, when they leak there, you just change the fluid and the leak stops, thats how honda owners know when the fluid is due haha

have you tryed pumping the crap out of your brakes w it running and seeing if you end up with more fluid thats really all that could enter through that area!!!

i just looked at my 95 AND i was noticing theres two small coolant lines that run right near that opening on the floor along the fire wall is it possible one of those is leaking coolant!!!

the master and brake booster arent that hard youll have to bleed the master cyl then the brake system but shouldnt take more than a couple hrs

nope thats the speedometer cable you really need to figure out what type of fluid it is I guess its possible to get trans fluid coming up through the speedocable housing but not likely

From what I can tell it looks brown feels like oil or something I don't know much about trucks or cars so thanks for all the help if need be I can make a video and put it on YouTube and put the link on here
