A little tire help?

2003 SR5 -V8 Strat Mica

I am up to about 25,000 on my Dunflops and it's vacation season. I want to change to something with less hysdroplane danger. I live in a small town (2 red lights) and the only tires I have located locally are :
Dueler HT's (They have no Revos)
BG Rough Trails
Michelin Cross Terrain

How much difference is there in the HT and the Revo?
Right now I am leaning towards the Michelin as they have them on sale for $165 and Tire Rack has them listed at $155. So I can probably get them to match the price. How does this compare to the Revo?

I am almost never off road mainly my worst condtions are gravel and snow.

Just calculate the whole price...

Tirerack has some great prices, but don't forget the shipping charge, and depending on the price of the tires, can be quite higher than the tax for the same tires in your area. Then once they are dropped to your tire installer, how much wil they charge to install? Most places listed on Tirerack will charge $20-27/tire plus valv stems and disposal fees. Once you add that up, are you really ahead going to tirerack or any other mail order tire?

I priced some tires like the BFG A/TKO and they once I add shipping at $65 or $16.25/tire, mounting and balancing nad installation, at $25/tire, and disposal fee of about $3/tire, I'm adding $44.25/tire on top of tirerack's prices= no worse than America's Tires or Discount Tires where it's pretty much all inclusive price.

I don't think you'll go wrong with either the Michelin Cross Terrains or the Revos.

Keep leaning toward the Michelin. CT's for regular, smooth, quiet driving.

Among the choices that you listed, Michelin CTs are the best (and most expensive)...by far.

my 03 came stock with the michelin cross terrains. i have just under 30,000 miles on them and they have plenty of tread left, and have treated me very good. i live in the north east so once winter rolls around i think ill be putting revos on.

How much air?

I got 265-65-17's (Stock size) No on the spare. I have been driving since 1968 and only had one flat that wasn't in my driveway and that was on my son's Saab when I ran over a piece of angle iron! I put the black side out on my Strat Mica - SR5-03 and they look good. It cost me right at $750 with all the stuff included (balancing, old tire fee, etc). Expensive but glad to be off the Dunlops! Some of you REVO guys let me know what inflation I should use for 90-95% highway use and everyday driving?
