Worked for me on my 2013 TE. This is probably the 3rd (or possibly 4th) time I've done an Entune system upgrade since I've had the vehicle, always without incident.
2013 TE here too...never any issue with an update.

1. What should be on my USB memory Device
1) Download the update file contents onto your computer.
2) Double click on the file, which should open a new folder with a file named "SWDL.iso" inside it.
3) Insert your USB flash drive into an open slot on your computer and open a view of your flash drive as a new folder.
4) "Drag and Drop" the "SWDL.iso" file to the folder representing your USB flash drive.
5) "Eject" your USB flash drive, remove it from your computer, and take it to your vehicle.
2. Software Update Procedure
1) For this and all following steps, keep your vehicle parked in a well-ventilated open area outside, suitable for running the engine, not in an enclosed structure such as a garage.
2) Start the engine ("Ready" mode in hybrid vehicle models).
Note: Turn on the Radio.
3) Press the “Apps” button (the system will switch to the Apps main page).
4) Install USB Drive into vehicle’s USB port (there will be a short pause while the software version is read). The USB port is usually located below the audio system, in the console box or in the glove box. Refer to your Owner's Manual "Using the audio system; Operating a USB memory" section for the precise location in your vehicle.
5) An “Update software from X.X.X to X.X.X?” message will be displayed.

6) Press “Yes”.
7) A “Please do not interrupt the software update once it has started. The engine must be running during software update.” message will be displayed.

8) Press “Confirm” (the engine must be running or hybrid system in Ready ON mode during software update).
9) The Software update will begin and the screen will show a “Package 1 of 8” message, and continue through 8 of 8. It will take approximately 5 minutes for the update to complete.

10) When finished, a "Software update complete" message is displayed.

11) Remove the USB Drive.
12) Turn the vehicle OFF.
3. Check your current multimedia software versions
1) The software update is finished, but if desired, you may confirm that software version level reflects the updated version numbers by executing the following steps.

2) Press the “Setup” button.
3) In Setup menu press “General”.

4) In the General Settings menu scroll down and press “System Information”.

5) In the System Information menu the Software Version information is displayed (eg. 5.1.0).
