After a false positive at one NAPA, I had to drive to another, but it's all done. Thanks for the help, all! I'm replacing the fan clutch tomorrow, and then I eventually still have to do the transfer case rear output seal, tie rods, u joint(s), and tundra brake upgrade. But I can at least drive, wheel, and camp with it before doing any of that!
I know I seem like a DIY home mechanic newb, but what makes it worse is that I'm not! I've been working on my cars since I was a wee lad as my Dad would point me through various maintenance and repair tasks. I even remember hanging out with him in the garage (probably getting in the way) when I was really young (maybe 5 in '89) and he was replacing the engine in his '83 Supra (that he bought for $500 with a dead engine)! I have no idea what I would have done back then, and it still amazes me that they just "figured out" things like TDC through talking to people and books. I just have a knack for being that statistical outlier for things to go wrong.
So, lesson here, kids: if you have the money, and you don't really want to spend all weekend doing something, START THE PROJECT WITH ALL OF THE CORRECT PARTS.
